A physics layman, forever learning

Hi everyone ^_^
I am a professional... but in unrelated fields. I have always had an interest in physics, in particular theoretical physics and cosmology. I joined in the hopes that this is a place where I could ask questions, and ideally learn more about the details that are always missing in dumbed down pop-sci articles and magazines.
