Absolute Value with a number in front?

Alright, I'm completely confused. I was given a study guide for my Algebra 2 exam(this isn't homework...) and one of the questions was

2|3x+5| < 16

I've seen the absolute value, but never seen a number in front of it...How do I solve this ?

It's just multiplication. like 2*(|3x+5|)

so it's |6x + 10| < 16?
