- I did a Google search looking for physics discussion groups within Meta's New Threads, but this site also popped up.
I am a retired programmer 1980 to 2012, renovating old houses in Goderich Ontario Canada, which is 40 kilometers south of the Bruce Nuclear Facility, 6,600 megawatts on Lake Huron, also in the midst of hundreds if not thousands of wind turbines.
I am a climate change believer and wish to contribute to reversing greenhouse gasses. I have a multi-pronged strategy, involving my amateur science writing (WordPress site soon to be cleaned up), building followers on all social media sites, and being a proponent of both fission nuclear plants and the coming fusion plants. For any anti-nuke folks, my only argument is and will remain: which is easier, to move all the cities of the world to 5 meters of higher ground, or protect nuclear waste which can be stored even above ground somewhere in probably less than a square kilometer world wide.
But my number one focus now is volunteering 10 hours a week to promote a small fusion research company in New Jersey.
