Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around participants sharing their favorite fractal art designs and images. It includes personal reflections on the rendering process and the aesthetics of fractals, as well as light-hearted commentary on related topics.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Conceptual clarification, Meta-discussion

Main Points Raised

  • One participant asks for others' favorite fractal art and shares an image link.
  • Another participant shares multiple image links but notes a technical issue with one of the images not displaying.
  • A participant reflects on the time it took to render a specific fractal image and expresses a preference for a particular "bubble fractal" image, suggesting that someone should find the equation to recreate it.
  • There is a mention of a piece of knotty wood that resembles a fractal, with a humorous suggestion to send it to another participant known for working with wood.
  • A later reply humorously questions the presence of wood in a refrigerator, prompting curiosity about the contents of that participant's fridge.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants share images and personal preferences without clear consensus on specific fractal designs or the technical aspects of rendering them. The discussion remains light-hearted and exploratory.

Contextual Notes

Some images shared may not display correctly due to link issues, and there is no resolution on the technical aspects of recreating fractal images.

Somehow, the first image doesn't show, even though I changed the link. :/

It took my first computer, 24 hours to render this image:

I think I like Gad's "bubble fractal" image the best.

hmmm... Someone should find the equation that re-creates this guy's image.

Ok. My favorite sets have always been 3D, that somewhat mimic real life:

I have a piece of knotty wood in my freezer that looks a bit like that. I've been thinking of sending it to Phinds, as he has a way with wood.

Hmm, I wonder what does a piece of wood do in your refrigerator, Om?... Now I wonder what's in your refrigerator?
