In Bragg’s spectrometer used to determine the wavelength of X – rays why should we make use of only NaCl crystal,cant we use any other molecular crystal?:rolleyes:

You can use more or less any crystal you want, as long as the crystal quality is good enough and the d-spacing is large enough for the wavelength you want to measure. The most commonly used crystals are Si which you can get in pretty much perfect crystal quality, thanks to the semiconductor industry.
