I am a winner of the Patents for Humanity Award of the United States Patent and Trademark Office and a holder of several U.S. patents. I began studies in physics and math as an engineering student. Rather than get a degree, I went into business building bridges, buildings, dams and other large projects. I remained successfully in business for more than 50 years. Then I started a charity that has drilled over 1000 water wells throughout the world. I have published over 100 papers online via figshare, Scispace and ORCID. I am a current member of the American Physical Society. I first joined the APS more than 40 years ago and dropped my membership while in business. My interest has always been in cosmology and particles and fields.

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
