Diffusion Coefficient of Minerals ?

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the search for diffusion coefficients of common minerals, specifically mentioning Quartz, Beryl, Spinel, and Corundum. Participants express difficulty in locating a comprehensive list of these coefficients. The need for accessible data on mineral diffusion coefficients is emphasized, highlighting a gap in available resources for researchers and professionals in the field.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of mineralogy and mineral properties
  • Familiarity with diffusion processes in solid materials
  • Knowledge of scientific literature and data sourcing
  • Basic research skills for locating specialized databases
NEXT STEPS
  • Research mineral diffusion coefficients in scientific databases like SpringerLink or ScienceDirect
  • Explore the use of diffusion modeling software for minerals
  • Investigate academic papers on the diffusion properties of Quartz, Beryl, Spinel, and Corundum
  • Learn about experimental methods for measuring diffusion coefficients in minerals
USEFUL FOR

Geologists, mineralogists, and researchers in materials science seeking detailed information on the diffusion properties of minerals.

I have been googling as many terms possible, but still not successful in finding a list of diffusion coefficients of common minerals eg; Quartz, Beryl, Spinel, Corundum etc...

I will highly appreciate your contributions.
