Is our home equipment and many other consumer's device usually designed to endure dust, debris, dirt or anything (even virus or bacteria) from the environment which is hard to avoid? What is the field of engineering or science
that studies such issue?

It would start as part of the product specification. Product specifications are written by top management with input from marketing. This part of the product specification would be given to a mechanical engineer on the design team.
 
"Clean rooms" is a topic that may relate to your questions. There are many circumstances where manufacture and assembly are done in a clean room environment.

Delayed response, but the field of engineering is called "Contamination Control", at least when dealing with the aerospace industry.
