Currently a student in year 11 (Australian equivalent of high school junior?), interested in becoming an electrical engineer.

At the moment, messing around with high voltages (lasers, tesla coils, lightning globes etc), actually I am in the process of attempting to design a hv psu (at least 30kv output), just had to jump way back to square one because I realized that 1626300 ohms worth of potential divider would probably fail spectacularly at dissipating enough heat to keep itself in one piece (trying to keep output current at 10-20milliamps). Now I'm trying to figure out how to build a diy auto-transformer for it instead.

Other than that I have a copy of the ARRL handbook and I'm studying for an advanced amateur radio license.
