I'm a computer scientist with just the most basic physics education. However, I watch youtube videos about physics (e.g.: PBS space time) and I have questions.

Is this an appropriate forum to ask those questions?

A sample question would be a more detailed version of: "How can I match the relativity of simultaneity telling me that a different frame of reference considers its present to be my future with the indetermination of a quantum particle? Wouldn't that particle state already be collapsed in my future, thus the other frame or reference's present?"

Sure. You can ask those kinds of questions here. Just be aware that there a large amount of bad information in youtube videos and television, and you may have to forget what you think you know before you can learn what science actually says.
