Hello ALL! Using Molasses to De-Rust the Masses!

  1. Mar 2, 2015 #1
Hello all, I am currently conducting an experiment using molasses. Molasses happens to contain chelants including citric acid (produced through fermentation (Aspergillus Niger). Anyways, I am doing an experiment using a 1920 Ford Model T piston + rust+ molasses. Any information about the specific science behind the process will be appreciated! Thanks!!!

Hi, welcome to PF! This forum, "New member introductions," is, as its name suggests, just for new member introductions. For actual help with a real question, please use one of our topical forums.

I see you've posted your question in the "Chemistry" forum, so let's see what happens there...
