In summary, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has passed away at the age of 96, making her the longest-reigning monarch in British history. She was succeeded by King Charles III, who was sworn in as the new monarch following an Accession Council meeting. So sad. Rest in peace, Queen Elizabeth II. She was a monarch for over 70 years.

King Charles III is now the monarch of the United Kingdom.

Some nice speeches in the commons yesterday for her. Theresa May and Boris Johnson in particular made nice tributes and not afraid to laugh at themselves.
