How did you find PF?
I found it on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media app) when searching for physics communities.
Hello everyone,

I'm a 16-year-old high school student from China. I've been fascinated by physics ever since I watched science documentaries about the universe when I was little.

My interest started with big questions: Where did the Big Bang come from? What is space itself made of? These questions led me to try building my own rough ideas over the years, but I always knew they were just guesses.

Recently, I started learning about special relativity in my physics class. The concepts of time dilation and length contraction really grabbed my attention. I spent some time trying to derive the formulas on my own and got pretty far, but I got stuck at the final step because I didn't yet understand time dilation properly at that point.

I joined this forum because I know I have a lot to learn. I want to be guided in the right direction and avoid going down the wrong paths. I'll try my best to ask thoughtful questions.

Thank you for having me!

In addition to reading existing threads and starting threads to ask your questions, be sure to look at our large set of PF Insights articles (see the link at the top of the page):

You can browse through categories of the articles, and you can also do a search for topics of interest. I just did a search for Special Relativity, and got lots of great articles that you should find helpful.
