How can I improve my skills in Physics as a 1st year student?

How did you find PF?
I found PF online while trying to get some help on deriving an equation from Young and Freedman's book.
I'm just trying to do better in class and hopefully improve my skills in Physics.

Thread 'Neurosurgeon for understanding a bit'

Hi, I am a neurosurgeon from Turkey with an interest in physics. I don't have formal training in theoretical physics or advanced mathematics, but i enjoy trying to build intuition about spacetime.
