How can I succeed in my first physics course as a pre-med student?

I'm a pre-med student taking physics for the first time! It's my second year in college. My lecture class isn't as helpful as I expected so I am just trying every resource to defeat this course. Math is pretty much a different language that I don't speak. I look forward in browsing through forums to expand my knowledge and really build a good foundation.
