In summary, the study of physics heavily relies on mathematical concepts and tools to understand and describe the natural world. Basic math, such as algebra, geometry, and calculus, are used to formulate and solve equations related to motion, forces, energy, and other physical quantities. While a strong foundation in basic math is important for excelling in physics, it is possible to improve with practice and determination. Some common basic math formulas used in physics include the distance formula, acceleration formula, and force formula. There are many resources available to help improve basic math skills for physics, such as textbooks, online tutorials, practice problems, and working with a tutor or study group. Regular practice and seeking help when needed can lead to improvement in both math and physics.

Homework Statement

use the given conversion factors to complete the calculations that follow.

2.00red=5.00 blue 2.00yellow=6.25pink 5.00blue=8.00green

3.00green=8.00black 5.12yellow=1.00red 2.00black=3.00pink

im just going to put the last 2 questions up I am pretty sure I have this right but I can't trust myself.

1)25.1 pink equals how many red?

2)486 black is the same as how many red?

The Attempt at a Solution

1) 25.1 pink(2.00yellow/6.25pink)=8.032yellow(1.00red/5.12yellow)=1.57 red

2) 486black(3.00pink/2.00black)=729pink(2.00yellow/6.25pink)=233.28yellow(1.00red/5.12yellow)=45.6red
