SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on verifying the correctness of electrical circuit calculations involving inductance (L), capacitance (C), and resistance. The formula presented for frequency is f = 1 / (2π√(L.C)), and calculations for potential difference (P.d) across a coil, capacitor, and resistor are outlined. The user seeks confirmation on the accuracy of their calculations, specifically the derived values for P.d and current. The thread emphasizes the importance of precise formula application in electrical engineering.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of electrical circuit components: inductors, capacitors, and resistors.
  • Familiarity with the formula for frequency in RLC circuits: f = 1 / (2π√(L.C)).
  • Knowledge of potential difference (P.d) calculations in series circuits.
  • Basic principles of Ohm's Law for current calculation.
NEXT STEPS
  • Study the application of RLC circuit analysis techniques.
  • Learn about the implications of frequency on circuit behavior.
  • Explore advanced topics in AC circuit theory.
  • Investigate tools for simulating electrical circuits, such as LTspice or Multisim.
USEFUL FOR

Electrical engineering students, hobbyists working on circuit design, and professionals involved in circuit analysis and troubleshooting.

Am i using correct formula?

Please see question at . . . . . .http://www.flickr.com/photos/3714455...60721/sizes/o/

(B) f = 1 / (2.pi. square root of [ L.C ] )

(C)

(1)P.d across coil = 2.pi.f. (0.32)

(2) P.d across capacitor = 2.pi.fr.(0.5 x 10^-6)

(3) P.d across resistor = 30v - (1) - (2)

(ii) Current = 30/60

Is this correct??

Thanks
