...The National Rifle Association Foundation will present Sen. John McCain's ill-fated running mate with a military-style assault weapon next week.

The all-white "Alaskan Hunter" - fashionable until Labor Day - is the civilian version of a modified M-4 rifle carried by U.S. troops overseas...

Yee-Haw.

I'm going to have to call Jeremy Greene to get my banquet ticket; I'd love to win the second one.

Now all she needs is a silencer.

That's a pretty sweet AR. .50 cal is a bit impractical...clearly less deadly than the traditional .223 due to being a non-frangible round with reduced accuracy, so I would have preferred it in the "optimal" 6.8mm caliber, however there is consolation in the thought that the increased kick might give her some shoulder bruises. I don't know what she's done to deserve this commemoration, other than sabotaging McCain's campaign. Is that picture of her holding the 22 by the poolside real? She looks nutty as can be.

Nah, it's just photoshop. Wink. Youbetcha!

Is it possible that they designed a dud of an automatic weapon, then tried to think of some spin to market it? A "Lady Executive" version of their most popular killing machine? "Even shoots ladylike bullets."

Probably not :/ It's only a semi-automatic weapon, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone to call the .50 Beowulf a lady-like round (except perhaps in reference to a pregnant lady). Take a look at this brute compared to the standard 5.56:

That's a hell of a hole puncher, for sure! The difference is that a 5.56 will literally explode into a million fragments leaving you with a 8-12 inch diameter hole in your chest, whereas this sucker will bore a hole straight through. I'm sure it's fun to shoot..
