SUMMARY

This discussion focuses on resources for learning Discrete Exterior Calculus (DEC) and Finite Element Exterior Calculus (FEEC), particularly for applications in computational electrodynamics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Key recommendations include exploring academic work from Caltech and CMU, with specific links provided to relevant publications and projects. The user seeks practical implementation methods for these mathematical frameworks in their course project.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Discrete Exterior Calculus (DEC)
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Exterior Calculus (FEEC)
  • Knowledge of computational electrodynamics
  • Basics of computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
NEXT STEPS
  • Research academic papers on Discrete Exterior Calculus from Caltech and Illinois
  • Explore CMU's DEC projects for practical applications
  • Study implementation techniques for Finite Element Exterior Calculus
  • Investigate computational methods in electrodynamics and CFD

Does anyone have recommendations for reading/resources on Discrete Exterior Calculus and/or Finite Element Exterior Calculus? In particular, I want to learn the topics to use in a project for a course and so would like to learn how to implement these methods (specifically geared toward computational electrodynamics or CFD). Thanks!
