Presidential Doppelgänger Hunt
Hi, Zz will be away for a few weeks and I will be managing the photo contest while he is gone.

For our picture contest this week, I was thinking, whose picture do I see over and over? Every time I turn around in the magazines, newspapers, and television, I see Obama, Clinton, and McCain's faces. In fact, seeing people walking through the mall, I'm starting to see their faces! Have you seen these people in your area? Take a picture of a US Presidential candidate doppelgänger in your neighborhood. There is one week to get your picture in, which will be voted for subject resemblance and photographic composition. I'll keep my camera with me and be on the hunt.

Good luck,
Mk

If you would like to remember how they look, here are their portraits:

Contest Rules:

1. Any digital photo or digitally-scanned photo relevant to the theme will be accepted within the contest period. In case there's a gray area, or you're not sure if the picture is suitable, check with me first.

2. Please resize your digital photo to no more than 650 x 490 or 490 x 650 pixels. You may also crop your picture if you wish. You are also allowed to adjust the brightness and contrast of your picture but these should not dramatically alter the look of the picture. Any other form of picture editing or modification is not allowed. This is a photo contest, not a special effect contest.

3. Upload your photos to any of the photo servers such as imageshack. Then post it the relevant contest thread and link your picture using the img command. PM me if you do not know how.

4. Only ONE picture per member per contest. Once a picture is posted, it cannot be changed other than a total withdrawl by that member from that week's photo contest. Exceptions will be made for modification to comply with the rules, such as resizing.

5. At the end of the contest period, I will open a poll and every PF member can vote for the picture they like best.

6. Note that in case we have a large number of entries, I will do the polling in more than one thread. If that's the case, you can vote in each of the polling threads. The photos will be assigned in the polling threads in the order they were submitted.

7. These pictures must be something that you took, not something taken off someone else's photo albums or taken by someone else. I have no way of checking if you did this, so we'll go by the honor system.

8. You can use a picture only once. Once it is used in a contest, it cannot be reused in another contest.

9. Please post only pictures meant for submission in this thread.

A look-alike or double.

This is worse than the winter/snow contest!

There aren't any american looking people in the UK!

My voice is a lot like George Washington's, but I guess that doesn't count.

chirp chirp...

I'm starting to think that Mk's the only one who will come up with a pic

Hmm...this looks like a really tough one! Poor MK...first contest to run and there won't be any entries. Well, let's see, Obama has big ears like Bush, and worse, makes it more obvious by cutting his hair REALLY close...maybe someone can submit some chimp pictures.

I wish I had some photos from the Second City performance I attended in Chicago last summer. The show was entitled "Between Barack and a Hard Place" and they had a great Hillary look alike among the cast (wondering if she was the "hard place").

McCain look alikes might be the easiest...don't all those old, bald, overweight, white guys look alike? (They seem to for our students who tend to mix up the names of several of our faculty who are all in their 60s and balding.)

May I enter a picture of my cat just because? She's really cute.

Mk, I can't even begin to think of what I might have to add to this. Evidently no one else can either.
