How did you find PF?
I searched for physics forums on Google and this was the first link that popped up!
I'm a student that is struggling to prepare for my physics final :cool:

Welcome to PF, Bruh! It's good to have you here. :smile:

If you have a couple practice problems that you are having trouble with, post them one at a time in the Homework Help forums and show us your work on the problem so we can help you with it. After you have figured out the first problem, go ahead and post the 2nd one that we can help you with. As long as you show good effort, you will get great tutorial help here.

Enjoy PF! :smile:

It looks like you are getting good help already... :smile:

Homework Statement:: So the problem states: "A skydiver jumps from a high-flying plane. As her velocity of fall increases, her acceleration:
A.) Increase B.) Decreases C.) Remains unchanged regardless of air resistance.
Relevant Equations:: The only equations provided for this situation are:
A = Change in V/Time interval & V = A * Time(only in free fall motion)

I selected A.) but the answer is B.)

My logic was this: V1 = 10m/s, T = 5s, so A = 2
V2 = 20m/s, T = 5s, so A = 4

Am I applying the wrong equation to the situation, or simply what am I getting wrong?

Yep! I'm sad that I had not found this site sooner! Thanks for the warm welcome!

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
