What if any, is the best model that starts with the primeval plasma and produces any results
that would lead in some way to a universe?

Astronomy news on Phys.org
The models relating to the formation of universes today are highly speculative at best. Simulations today are focused on going from the early universe that we know about and producing various properties of the late universe. Nobody, so far as I know, is trying to use simulations to generate universes in the first place.
