I am stuck on finding the solution to this problem.

2lnX = 2 + ln(X-1)

X^2/X-1 = e^2
X^2 = e^2(X-1)
x^2 = e^2 X - e^2

You now have a quadraic equation in x. Remember e² is just a number.
