Bought some from Amazon, they were okay. Not as good as what we had years ago that another grad student made from scratch. We used Amazon prime, the cookies were fresh, I think.

Is there a quality source for these things in the US?

Are these the same as stroopwafels?
 
I think they may be. This is secondhand reporting on my part and I failed Cookies 101 in College.
