Struggling with Phase Change Problems? Need Help Understanding the Concepts?

I don't need you guys to give me the answer or anything, I just want some help understanding the concepts and how to go about setting up phase change problems. Please help, I have a test tomorrow and I've been studying all week and still don't really understand.
