How did you find PF?
Mentioned in another Medium article about another person who self-studied MIT’s OCW. :)
Hey all! My life has been interesting. Long story short, I sold my company last year, have a lot of time on my hands, never have to work again, and want to just learn physics for no reason other than it’s awesome. I’m currently totally off the grid in a jungle in Hawaii and am splitting my time between MIT OCW lessons and rucking boulders along a hiking trail next to my cottage. Day before yesterday I found God in the Baghavad Gita and am amazed at how many parallels there are between physics and spirituality.

I’m excited to be here and can’t wait to see what knowing more about our universe brings to my understanding of everyday life. Until then, I’ll be asking very dumb questions that I can’t seem to be able to find the answers to in the search bar. I hope that’s ok!

Welcome to PF.

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
