Notable improvement on the Oto cycle engine, invented by Taurozzi in the early 1970s.

The idea is sound, but there must still be rings that seal the piston gap. Those rings are pushed out against the cylinder walls by combustion gasses that get behind them from the cylinder. That seal is still required. The claim of 50% improvement in economy over the regular engine, I am certain, is false marketing.

The internal combustion piston engine is now reaching the end of its domination.
That also includes the Taurozzi Motor.

Tell that to the all electric vehicles that constantly need a gas/diesel powered generator trasported by an ICE cargo van or utility truck to recharge as a common roadside assistance. Honestly, the real future of the automobile is in extended range electric vehicles

They run on traditional fuels such as gasoline or diesel and are sized to provide the continuous power requirements for the vehicle they are used with. Most small to midsized passenger vehicles would require 15 to 20 kW (20 to 27 hp) for unlimited freeway travel using fuel. Larger vehicles could require 30 kW (40 hp) or more of power depending on how heavy or un-aerodynamic they happen to be. This essentially converts an electric vehicle into a series-hybrid.
