Toroidal Engines: Challenges & Credibility

what is it that stops various toroidal engines, like the rotoblock engine, trochilic engine, myt engine or the engine from being successfull? sealing/efficiency/lubrication problems? or they can't find a strong enough material to withstand the pressure? and is there any credibility to the claims the inventors make?

It Was Technnologically imposaable when these engines were invented but there is huge interest in them and the egyptians have beaten the west for the punch also the Japaneies
