SUMMARY

The waiting time for responses to gravitation paper submissions varies significantly by journal, ranging from one week to over a year. Authors must adhere to submission guidelines, which typically prohibit simultaneous submissions to multiple journals. A signed agreement upon submission confirms that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere. Once a manuscript is rejected, authors are free to submit it to other journals.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of academic journal submission processes
  • Familiarity with manuscript preparation and submission guidelines
  • Knowledge of the peer review process
  • Awareness of copyright agreements in academic publishing
NEXT STEPS
  • Research specific journal submission timelines for gravitation papers
  • Learn about the peer review process in physics journals
  • Explore the implications of copyright agreements in academic publishing
  • Investigate strategies for improving manuscript acceptance rates
USEFUL FOR

Researchers in physics, academic authors preparing manuscripts, and anyone involved in the journal submission process seeking to understand timelines and submission protocols.

That depends on the Journal. Could be as little as a week, or as long as a year (or more).

No. Generally, when one submits a manuscript to a journal one signs an agreement in which you guarantee that it is not under consideration by another journal and will not be submitted to another journal whilst it is under consideration at the current one. However, if your manuscript is rejected, you are then usually free to submit it elsewhere.
