Name that song "close your eyes"

I'd like to know the identity of a song, it's from the 80's or before and has slow lyrics. Unfortunately the only sentences I know are: "close your eyes" "moon and stars". The two sentences are right after each other and are sung really slowly (I guess sadly):
Cloooooose your eeeeeeyeeeehiiiiiiiiiieeeeeiiiiiieees, [through the?] moooooooon and staaaaahaaaars.

Ok, that looks silly  does it ring a bell to anyone? I've tried google and youtube.

Is it 'End of May'?

Close your eyes, and roll a dice,
Under the board, there's a compromise...

Thanks for the thought, but not the right song.

Or perhaps Bananarama Starz:

Close your eyes
Drift away
Touch the stars

but it looks like there is no youtube version.

Are you sure it is actually "close your eyes"?

There is that Roberta Flack classic "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" that goes:

I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave

Starts out right.

You're great, that's it! I heard a sample of the song on television yesterday and I was sure that the lyric was "close your eyes", this relates to the recent thread on understanding English lyrics: I definitely pay more attention to the melody than to the words

Great to hear it after so many years and actually understanding what it was about. It was played at my granddad's funeral, probably I should've mentioned it. The Beatles -all my loving- and Aerosmith aren't quite the right genre  But mystery solved, against all odds!
