What are the benefits of joining a scientific forum as a non-member guest?

I am quite enthusiastic about joining this forum after reading it every now and again as a non-member guest. I hope to contribute more in the future (and ask slightly less silly questions) as I continue my studies in Physics. I aim to be no less than my username describes in the future.
