What inspired the nickname 'Zog' and why does it stick?

My name is Doug Jones. I use "Zog" because many years ago my friends though I looked and acted like "Zog" in a Gary Larsen far side comic in which the cavemen were trying to grill meat over an open fire with their bare hands, while Zog, who was lazy, used a stick. One of the cavemen says "hey, look what Zog do!" while they are blowing on their fingers.Its funnier if you see the comic; it's all in Larsen talent at facial expressions. Anyway I always liked fancy grill implements, so it stuck.

My reference to the far side should give you a clue to my age - I'm old.

Because I was aksed on another forum - No, my nickname Zog does NOT refer to Zionist Occupied Government!.
