Athene's Theory of Everything, presented through a series of videos, has garnered significant attention from the World of Warcraft community and beyond. While many users express enthusiasm and claim the theory offers profound insights, the lack of peer-reviewed validation raises concerns about its credibility. The discussion highlights the tension between popular acceptance and the necessity for rigorous scientific scrutiny, emphasizing that unpublished theories should not be treated as established facts within academic circles.

(don't need to explain the content here, just watch the videos).

A while ago, some World of Warcraft player posted these sets of videos. Later, a bunch of people started swarming over them like 10 year olds to a new pokemon game. They claim it makes so much sense and can't be understood by people with little knowledge of the 'subject'.

I've seen this link being spammed in so many sites with no real experts coming to discuss it. Tons of internet users are frothing over it. IMO, it uses some pretty legit research and is well made. But I'm tired of the sick dogma these users have over a video that hasn't even been verified yet. I'm not saying it's wrong, but that people are just claiming it's the 'great answer' without any peer review.

So can physicsforum give their word to all these users on reddit and the like? What do you think?
