It is logarithm to the base e. (e = 2.71828...) It is known as Natural Logarithm.( http://mathworld.wolfram.com/NaturalLogarithm.html )

In a calculator, you would probably find a button somewhere near the log button. It may be denoted by 'ln'.

Yes thankyou... I never seen it referred to as log e before... its always been Ln or natural log to me... you live and learn!
