Aw c'mon, they *have* to have interweb access somewhere on that ship, don't they?

...OK, just checked out the web site...yes, there is an innerweb cafe, seats 8. Wow, just 8? That means you'll have to wake up early, say 5-ish, to get a seat.

Have a great time, we're all looking forward to frequent updates!

Is taking about you behind your back allowed?:-p <joking>

Have a nice time!

I hope you have a good time, Dave!

Although, withdrawal symptoms from serious addictions, such as PF and heroin, can be fatal. I'd suggest taking up lisab's offer as a precautionary measure.

I went on one of the Norwegian lines a few years back and the costs for internet access were insane. I doubt they've changed that much since then.

Have fun! Where are you going?

Is he gone yet?

Can we start the "DaveC's dumbest post" poll yet?

(Don't worry, I'm not dumb enough to tell anyone when I'm leaving for a few days.)

In that case, we would make DaveC's first post in this thread the dumbest he ever made. That's an interesting paradox...

Don't worry Dave, I'll protect your back!... Of course you can read what's in between!

Are those. . . flowers on the side of that ship?
The name is the Norwegian Gem, I believe they are gems.

Have a great time dave!

How about ban ?

It's called the Norwegian Gem, but it cruises along tropical islands?

It gives the Norwegians a nice warm place to visit in the winter. Norwegian is a pretty big cruise line, but Carnival and its offshoots (like Princess) are the big boys on the block. Lately, lots of them have been visiting Maine ports, sending people ashore to hit gift shops, restaurants, and other tourist-y places. Stuff in our coastal towns is VERY expensive, but not expensive enough to deter the cruisers. We're a 3rd-world destination, to them, but with safer water.

I'm with you in spirit Dave, represent us well...umm errr, maybe you should just stay in your cabin:rolleyes:

Don't discuss anything interesting while I'm away.
Well what do you know about that, a portable island. Enjoy.

Are you jealous of someone who's going to be thrown to the volcano?

The only cure for PF is liquid PCP mixed with cocaine

Nope, I guess becoming a PF staff would be the only cure...

I'm back! Whew!

I could not resist the temptation to being back a gift for PF: (see attached photo)

A Lorenz Attractor in pastry!

Is that not an awesomely awesome example of art-life imitating math?

That is a single piece of pastry perfectly exhibiting the classic oscillatory butterfly shape of a Strange Attractor, just like this:

I really do like the Lorentz cinnamon roll. Plus, you're probably an OK guy if you and your wife spent any time on the decks with you rail-side. Lots of guys fall off...

I've only been on a Carnival cruise in the past. I wonder how it's different...

edit: They serve better breakfasts!

Well, he was back on PF soon after the rehab, so I guess he didn't really have a nice time away from PF.

Are you sure they weren't repurposed Valentine's Day rolls?

Nice to see you back, Dave.
