SUMMARY

The discussion centers on a hypothetical scenario questioning the implications of atoms being the smallest entities in the universe and its effects on technologies such as semiconductors, plasma, and nanotechnology. Participants concluded that the question lacks meaningful context, as it contradicts the fundamental principles of physics. Consequently, the thread was closed due to the inability to apply the laws of physics to a scenario where those laws do not exist.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of atomic structure, including electrons, protons, and neutrons.
  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor technology and its applications.
  • Familiarity with plasma physics and its properties.
  • Awareness of nanotechnology and its significance in modern science.
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the fundamental principles of atomic theory and its implications in physics.
  • Explore the role of semiconductors in electronic devices and their manufacturing processes.
  • Study the characteristics and applications of plasma in various fields.
  • Investigate advancements in nanotechnology and its impact on future technologies.
USEFUL FOR

Students of physics, engineers in semiconductor and nanotechnology fields, and anyone interested in the foundational concepts of modern science and technology.

HI guys!

I was thinking...
What would happen if the atom were considered the smallest thing of the universe, or just that electrons, protons e neutrons were that?
That would impact in semiconductors technologies? Or plasma? Or nanotech? How?

Thanks in advance.

You are asking "if the laws of physics did not apply, what would the laws of physics say about <insert nonsense of your choice>". As you can see, it is not a meaningful question.

And because there is no way of applying the laws of physics to answer a question about what would happen if the laws of physics did not apply, this thread is closed.
