Why don't we use environment friendly bags?

In summary, the use of environment-friendly bags is limited due to a variety of factors. These include the higher cost of producing and purchasing these bags, the lack of availability and convenience, and the resistance to change from both consumers and manufacturers. Additionally, there is a lack of government regulations and incentives to promote the use of these bags. However, with the growing awareness of the negative impact of plastic bags on the environment, there is a push towards more sustainable options, and it is important for individuals and businesses to consider using environment-friendly bags to reduce their environmental footprint.

Hi

Burning and degrading of poly bags are too harmful to the environment. Still, we are using poly bags. Why don't we go with environment-friendly Jiffy Paper Padded bags?

Welcome to PF!

This sub-forum is meant to introduce yourself to the community, not to post questions, which we have the others for.

Beside that, I don't think your question can be reasonably answered. Why behave people like they do? Depending on your personal system of values, this list is probably rather long. Of course there are several economic reasons: cheap, low weight, tear-proof, and some less logical. But I don't think a debate on this issue will lead somewhere.
