How do u figure out the ratio of the refraction index if you have to unknown materials, that of which, one is 1.25 greater than the speed of sound.
If you are asking about the optical index of refraction, could you please reword your question. You mention "speed of sound"--what's that got to do with it?

Well to figure out the refraction index the formula is liek n= c/v. Therefore knowing the speed of sound is important. I'm just baffled as to how to get that ratio.

You realize, I hope, that the speeds referred to in that equation for index of refraction are speeds of light, not sound!
