Can a capacitor be used to fuel the electrolysis process?

Can a capacitor be used to fuel the electrolysis process?

What are your thoughts on this? What voltage and current are typical of the electrolysis process? What is the relationship between voltage, current and capacitance for a capacitor?

Offhand I would say no because a capacitor is used for short term storage not to include an electrolytic but probably you would need some type of battery with a recharging circuit.
