The resistance of a certain type of wire is listed as .4 Ohms/meter. What is the resistance if 50 meaters of the wire?

R=(.4 Ohms/meter)*(50 m) / Area

what is the area?

how do I solve this?

You are confusing the given information with "resistivity".

If the wire has a resistance of 0.4 Ohms per meter, what would the resistance of a 1 meter long wire? And what about the resistance of a 50 meter wire?

maybe the resistivity is 0.4 ohm meters

what is ohms per meter a measure of?
