It can run 32/64-bit application, but at this moment >90% application softwares are 32-bit, so, how can we optimize Athlon64?

Do you think Longhorn will have 64-bit version available?

don't you mean optimize applications for Athlon 64? just wait for the software producers to use 64 bit compilers....

If you have to sourcecode to the applications compile them with gcc's amd64 option.

There are pretty good 64-bit Operating Systems made just for the AMD 64 from SuSE.

If you want to put that 64-bit technology to good use, try it out.
