How many litres of air do i need to make 1kg of steel float?

If you're wondering what for? i am actually trying to make a small jeep float... :smile:

To support 1 kg of steel (or whatever material), you need to displace 1 kg of water. Density of water is 1 kg/l, so you need 1 liter of water displaced (it doesn't matter if it is air or anything else that displaces the volume of water).
