View Full Version : Time travel will never be possible.
Simply because there is no past or future to go to. Only the present exists. Or at least that is what I think. If time travel is possible, why do we have no visitors from other times?

Yeah, and your mother wears purple tennis shoes.
Limiting the existence of something to the ability to reach it is not correct. If you could prove that we cannot have visitors from other time that would be a solution. According to the present state of theory one can invert time and no law of physics will be broken. Thus the feasibility of time traveling remains open. It does not necessary means that we as humans will be able to travel over time but such conditions may exist in black holes where time and space are distorted. Of course, there of would be little in that to accommodate our transportation needs but we can predict future, though at limited degree, which is perhaps the actual meaning of the concept of time traveling.

The old "No Time Traveling Tourists" argument is flawed as well. There is no reason to expect that we should ever be able to travel back in time further than when we first turned on a time machine. It's along the lines of arguing that radio is impossible because nobody heard a radio broadcast before the first radio was turned on.
FYI, google is your friend. A quick google check of "time travel" will net you 1,000,000 answers in seconds including many detailed references to Einstein's theory of Relativity which is now over a hundred years old.
Simply because there is no past or future to go to.This is my view also. And this view follows from the assumption, well supported by observation, that we are part of an evolving universe.
