I would dearly like to know what material has the highest relative dielectric constant and how much is it?
The discussion centers on identifying materials with the highest relative dielectric constant, exploring various candidates and their properties. It includes theoretical considerations and practical applications related to dielectrics.
Participants present multiple competing views on the materials with the highest dielectric constants, and the discussion remains unresolved regarding which material is definitively the highest.
Some claims depend on specific conditions or definitions, and there are unresolved aspects regarding the comparison of different materials' dielectric properties.

Hi ddr,
Before the exotic materials mentioned by others were developed, I found, among plastic sheeting that "TEDLAR" a poly-vynilidine was optimum for both its high dielectric constant and high dielectric strength. Cheers, Jim
