Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the demand for various engineering disciplines, specifically comparing aerospace engineering with mechanical and electrical engineering. Participants explore job market trends and regional variations in demand.

Discussion Character

  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • Some participants question whether aerospace engineering is as in demand as mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Others suggest that aerospace and electrical engineering are challenging fields, but recommend pursuing broader degrees like mechanical engineering for better job prospects.
  • One participant emphasizes that the demand for aerospace engineers may vary by location.
  • Another participant states that there has been a significant drop in job demand for aerospace engineering, while electrical and mechanical engineering remain in high demand.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express differing views on the demand for aerospace engineering compared to other fields, indicating that the discussion remains unresolved with multiple competing perspectives.

Contextual Notes

Is Aerospace engineering not as many as Mechanical engineering and Electrical engineering in market demanding?

Well if you mean how hard it is as in work then aero/electircal are very hard but then in jobs go do a broader degree like mechancial or even electrical

I think the question is one to do with the demand for aerospace engineers in the job market. I suppose it depends where you are.

In general terms, aerospace engineering has seen a significant drop in job demand.

Both electrical and mechanical engineering are in high demand.
