i need to know about specially diagonalization, is it orthogonal diagonalization or something different?

I moved this from "introductory physics", because I suppose that this question will get more readily an answer over here.
I myself can't help you, unfortunately. I don't know what "special diagonalisation" is...

thx for ur try vanesch, but u had ur attempt in the applied mathematics critetria, and i have my concern here i "PURE MATHS" section.
