SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the emotional and physical sensations experienced upon waking from sleep, specifically happiness and sickness. Participants highlight that these feelings are influenced by biochemical changes occurring during different sleep stages. Izzle, a contributor with extensive experience in sleep studies, emphasizes the significance of understanding these sleep states. The conversation suggests that awareness of sleep cycles can provide insights into one's waking feelings.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of sleep stages and cycles
  • Basic knowledge of human biochemistry
  • Familiarity with sleep study methodologies
  • Awareness of emotional responses to physiological changes
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the stages of sleep and their impact on mood
  • Explore the biochemical processes involved in sleep
  • Study the effects of sleep quality on emotional well-being
  • Investigate scientific literature on sleep disorders and their symptoms
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for sleep researchers, psychologists, and individuals interested in the relationship between sleep and emotional health.

Why do I feel happy when I awake from sleep sometimes? Why do I feel like I was hit by a train and feel sick sometimes? What are the factors?

This is insufficient information. Someone can also feel happy while awake, and feel sick while awake.

However, your biochemistry changes through the stages of sleep. You are very likely awaking from different states of sleep.

That's coming from someone who has done years of sleep (and dream) studies. I have a book coming out soon - completely scientific and a lot of newly research information!
