How long does MCH stay elevated after beginning folate/b12 supplimentation?

In iron and/or b12 deficiency, once levels of b12 and Ferritin have normalized.
How long does it take for the MCH to return to normal ranges?

In this study of 60 patients with B12 deficiency, all hematologic parameters significantly improved from baseline over a 90 day interval. Reticulocytosis is an early sign of treatment effect which should appear between 5 and 10 days. This study compared oral and intramuscular B12 and found no significant difference. However, in pernicious anemia, a deficiency or lack of gastric intrinsic factor would normally preclude oral treatment, but oral therapy can be effective in some cases with certain preparations of B12 or in high doses.
