Two packing crates of masses m1 = 10.0 kg and m2 = 5.00 kg are connected by a light string that passes over a frictionless pulley . The 5.00 kg crate lies on a smooth incline of angle 40.0°. Find the acceleration of the 5.00 kg crate and the tension in the string.

i know there is only 1 tension becuase they area attached by a frictionless string, i just dont know where to go from there

Ok, you must have read that tension always acts away from the body. The weight of the body will also have an effect on its motion, in this case. Keeping these points in mind, work out the possibilities and inform us of the developments.
