what does cellphone antenna consist of physically?

if I were to disassemble the cellphone and try to extract the "antenna" component, what would I get? Is it a long straight cable? Or a mesh?

Can it actually be extracted out of the case or is it somehow embedded into "motherboard"?

My guess will be microstrip antenna (packaged inside RF chip).

I would think it totally depends on the model of the cell phone.

i.e.
